Becaus of the division Berlin has everything twice: Operas, zoos, universities and also city-centers! On the western end of the Tiergarten park lies Charlottenburg, once the richest city in the Prussian kingdom, since 1920 part of Berlin's „new West“, a world of cafés, shopping, entertainment and nightlife.
We start our tour at the Kurfürstendamm, explore the KaDeWe and the Europa Center which became symbols of the western lifestyle with their possibilities of shopping in the free part of the city.
Let us discover how the western center around the ruin of the Memorial Church has changed since the reunification, take a peak into the Berlin Zoo, see what is left of the old jewish institutions at Fasanenstrasse as well as the beautiful Charlottenburg palace.
The tour can be extended to visit the Olympic Stadium of the 1936 Nazi games.
